Big News - I'm Moving

Tuesday, May 18, 2021

Yes. This is actually happening.

Me and My roommate have been planning
it for months now but due to certain circumstances,
the moving process has been sped up to late June.

In other news, The live-action remake for My cover of
Sheryl Crow's "All I Wanna Do" comes out today and also
I've finally finished My autobiography but there's
no release date yet.

I'm still working on the "Wizard of Death" comic but
it's been put on hold for awhile until I'm finally moved
in to the new place.

"Wizard of Death: Story Mode" available Now

Wednesday, October 14, 2020:

Okay so "Wizard of Death: Story Mode" is finished and available now
in the "Comics" section as well as "Sultry Queen (Full Band Edit)"
and the unofficial remakes including the 30th anniversary cover of "Enter Sandman"
might wave to wait until Their respective (and pre - planned) release dates,

I have another project in mind (involving old demo tapes)
for the future but depending on what happens after the election,
I may not be able to get to that one right away (if at all).

May-Be, I should get back to BiZNeSS

Tuesday, May 12, 2020:

I filming My parts for a Live-Action remake of "Euphoria" sometime this week.
I also have "Sultry Queen (Classic Edition)" coming this month as well as
"Rainbow in the Dark (Full Band Edit)" in tribute of the 10th anniversary of Ronnie James Dio's passing.
I'm still  working on the Mutant Melvin V extension comic "Wizard of Death: Story Mode" on the side, too.

Conditions are Ideal so, Back to Work

Thursday, August 15, 2019:

Now that weather conditions are kind of ideal, I can now get back to work
on this album and guess what?!? I'm already half way done.
That's right - "Trilogy (Classic Edition)" is finished as of last week and
I'm ready to move on to production for the "Full Band Edit" but before I do that,
I'm looking to film My cover video using the split screen technique. This time
it's another Metallica song - "Enter Sandman" Which I plan to get done before FBE is complete.

T2 said it best - "I Need a Vacation"

Wednesday, July 17, 2019:

Now that I'm half way done with post-production for the "Classic Edition",
I've decided to take a little break until the summer heatwave lets up
(with an ideal hi of no more than 78 degrees) but in the meantime, I'm gonna
upload some videos. The 1st of which was uploaded today for the 10th Anniversary
of My 1st ever upload using My current recording software which was a cover of
"For Whom the Bell Tolls" which I uploaded to Myspace (and yes - I was still using Myspace back in 2009. Don't judge Me.)
I also figured before I start filming My parts for the music videos, I might as well get good at this split screen technique
by practicing on cover song first so that way, I know what the hell I'm doing when I get to any originals.

Livestreams - How They Should've Been

Friday, May 11, 2018:
I'm halfway done with writing
the script for "The Blackberry Monologues"
which was slated for an early July release,
but might come out in August or September
depending on how it takes to finish.

I've got another livestream coming up
on the 16th called "Nite Trax and Thrill"
(a follow-up to April's "Nite Trax & Chill")
and speaking of livestreams, The idea of
"Livestreams Revisited" has been changed
to "Livestreams Reimagined"! and this time
They're done the way they *should've* been.

Think Less Rock Concert, More Jam Session

Friday, April 13, 2018:

The day has come. My new double
covers album "Nite Trax: vol. 1 & II"
is out now, and can listen to it here
https://soundcloud.com/bill-ulsh/sets/nite-trax-vol-1

and here
https://soundcloud.com/bill-ulsh/sets/nite-trax-vol-ii

As far as the livestream is concerned,
I decided to do away with the lights and
fog machine (save those for the music videos)
and think of this less like a rock concert
and more like a jam session.
Not pretend it's something more
than what it really is.

I've also decided to redo "Livestreams Revisited"
and included a few extra from the "Judgment Years" era.
Who knows, I might even streams My practice sessions on
the game "Synthesia" and Show you guys How I learn songs.

Meanwhile, I'm still working on
"The Blackberry Monologues"
on the side, but I'm not sure
when that will be finished.

Time for a little Nite Trax and Chill

Friday, March 16, 2018:

The 1st single "Mr. Self Destruct"
from My up coming covers e.p.
"Nite Trax Vol.II" is out Now
and You can listen to it here:
https://soundcloud.com/bill-ulsh/mr-self-destruct-nin-cover

I've always compared to "Master of Puppets" for some reason.

Nite Trax Vol. 1 & II
is set for release April 13, 2018
That's right - Friday the 13th

My next live stream in support of that
also now has a name: "Nite Trax and Chill"
and now I move onto My upcoming documentary
"The Blackberry Monologues"
so, if You don't mind, I got a script to write.

My Time Off has Come to an End

Tuesday, February 6, 2018:
I'm sure by now, some of You may have
already figured out that My time off
has reached it's conclusion,
and with that being said...

Experiment II with the Marshall Mini
& Livestream was a success. I figured
out what levels I needed for the next
time I play live somewhere.

I'm ready to hit the studio again,
for "Nite Trax vol. 1 & II"
Vol. 1 is basically the same 4 songs
You've heard before, just done differently.
Vol. II on the other hand is buncha
songs You've only ever heard me do live
never recorded until now.
Think of it less as Me doing My own
versions of these songs and more...
"Look what else I can play"

What I've been up to lately

Friday, January 19, 2018:
You've probably been wondering what I've been
up to during My time off, before I go back
in the studio to lay down some vocals
for this new covers album.
I'm just going through the motions right now.
Kicking around ideas for future projects.
Most of that stuff's already on the itinerary.
I've been experimenting with the Marshall Mini
& Ustream and one thing I've learned recently was
to turn up the mic a bit but without
drowning out the music.

What's Left on the Itinerary?

Tuesday, October 10, 2017:
I'm 3/4 of the way done with stuff from "Wizard of Death"
and already 1/3 into the stuff I wanna do from
"Judgment Years". I'm still excited for "The Classic Edition"
despite the limited number of songs. This is because of that
playing style's one and only major drawback: You can really
only do so much with playing bass and rhythm at the same time.
While intriguing, it limits what songs can faithfully
be recreated in such a way. However it's still interesting
to hear the songs that can be done, played this way.
Now You're probably asking "What about 'Nite Trax: Vol. II'
or 'Blackberry Monologues'?" Those are still gonna happen
at some point. I already have a track listing for "Nite Trax II"
The only thing I can tell about that is that it feels like
a continuation of Vol.1 while also being it's own stand-alone E.P.

I am DONE with livestreams (...for the summer, at least)

Wednesday, July 12, 2017:

I've come to a decision. After My most recent show
"ReinVisited", I'm done with live-streaming for the
summer, but will however experiment with different
sounds and see what works.
In the meantime, I plan on finishing up
My graphic novel series "Mutant Melvin"
with a release date for somewhere between
late August and early September.
As for the future, There's still
"The Blackberry Monologues" and maybe another covers
e.p. in the pipeline. In time, We'll see.

A rough couple of months ahead

Friday, February 17, 2017:

Hey, how's it been?
I know it's been awhile,
and You're probably wondering what
I've been up to lately.
Remember last month when I said
I was gonna have to take some albums off of Spotify,
simply because I couldn't afford it?
That's still a thing. (at least until April)
As for what I've been doing lately?
Working on more cover songs, actually.
Seeing what works / what doesn't.
and as far as new stuff is concerned,
both the e.p. and Mutant Melvin 6 have kinda been
put on the backburner for awhile.

HALT THE ITINERARY!!! something has just come up

Friday, October 14, 2016:
I've decided to take some time off due to recent things
I'm dealing with in My personal life, so it'll be awhile
before I begin work on "Mutant Melvin 6". Speaking of "Mutant Melvin",
as You might've seen on social media, "A Very Mutant Melvin X-Mas"
has a release date. "Mutant Melvin V" comes out on December 14, 2016.
As far as the cover songs go, That's still up in the air.

Ulshman is making changes to the livestreams

Tuesday, September 27, 2016:
Okay, so here's the deal.

Bad News: My batteries crapped out on Me while changing setlists tonight,
so I'm gonna have to postpone the other 2 livestreams until next week.
Also, it's gonna rain tomorrow, so I probably would've gotten rained out anyway.

Good News: At least I made it through the 1st set before that happened
(Which is where all the good songs are, anyway IMHO) with the exception
of having to stop mid-song to deal with popups and the occasional screen saver.

What's Next on the Itinerary?

Tuesday, September 20, 2016:
Yes I know the month is almost over, but I felt I needed to get this out sooner than later.
We're coming up on the 3rd anniversary of My 2nd album "Wizard of Death".
Speaking of albums, I'll work on the singles later. With that out of the way,
I got a couple of big announcements.
I'll be working on Mutant Melvin 6 next month after the livestreams are done,
and also more cover songs during downtime from MM6.

It's My style, and I can do what I want with it

Tuesday, July 5, 2016:
I'm doing something different with the livestreams this time around.
You might've noticed some schedule changes, location changes etc.
I also plan on "re-visiting" a few livestream that I might've
fucked up on to correct a few things. This may or may not become
a weekly thing, depending on what I have time to do.
I other news, the covers e.p. "Nite Trax" comes out on soundcloud
in a few weeks. A little backstory for You all: I used to get trolled
HARD on Youtube back in the day for some of these covers, but
I figure after 3 albums, My style has already been established.
If nobody likes these versions of other people's songs,
I'm not gonna be too bothered by it.

Quick Update to Fans

Tuesday, May 10, 2016:
"A Very Mutant Melvin X-Mas" is finished
and (obviously) slated for a late 2016 release.
The soundcloud exclusive "Nite Trax" e.p. comes out July 19th,
so have your calendars ready for that
and speaking of calendars...
I got My first livestream here in a couple weeks.
May 24th (and 25th) to be exact so if ya don't mind,
I've got some shows to book and some practice to do.

Tuesday, April 12, 2016:
Hey everyone, How's it goin'. Bill Ulsh, here.
Just wanted to let everyone know that
I'm already 1/2 way through "Mutant Melvin V"
and plan on finishing the rest really soon,
also I've something interesting planned out for
Livestream around the release of "Nite Trax".
Let's just say it involves "Re-Revisiting"
songs from My youth, and speaking of livestreams,
I've got something a little "X-Tra" planned for that as well
this time around.

Nite Trax FINISHED! MMV begins

Wednesday, February 10, 2015:
Hey fans, Sorry for the delay.
I know I promised a new blog last week,
but some personal issues had come up in My life
that I had to deal with, but now that That's out of the way...
My cover song e.p. "Nite Trax" is now finished and scheduled
for release sometime during the live-streams which is this summer.
Until then, I will now be working "Mutant Melvin V", unless something else comes up.

Itinerary for the Late 2010's

Tuesday, January 12, 2016:
I'm back from My 3 week Christmas/ New Years Break.
Here's what I have going on (that I don't wish to deviate from)
I'm finishing up "Welcome to Earth: Making The Judgment Years"
sometime maybe this week. And then after that I'll be finishing up
My covers e.p. "Nite Trax". Lending My pipes, and working on the album cover.
and when That's done, I'll be doing "Mutant Melvin V" sometime before the live streams
in support of both "Judgment Years" as well as "Nite Trax". It seems I'm booked!!!

All I Wanna Do is Beat the Heat and Fire Muh Lazors

Saturday, July 12, 2014 10:15AM:

Well, believe it or not, folks, I was still working on the video for 'All I Wanna Do" which is due out this Wednesday. Never have I worked on something this close to its release date.
Had a few issues along the way because apparently, AVS Video Editor couldn't handle the awesomeness, but I assure the final video is finished and is looking absolutely beau-ti-mous.

In other news, My air conditioner ran out of coolant/freon recently, so I'm having to finish My series of live-streaming shows in nearly 90 degree weather. The good news, however, is: I finally got My 1 gallon of fog juice, so I can now 'Fire Muh Lazors". So, be on the lookout for that at My next show.

All I Wanna Do is Play Some Shows

Tuesday, June 10, 2014 11:11AM:
Good News, everyone. The Official Video for "All I Wanna Do" is now complete and is set for a mid July release. Now some of You have probably already heard the song on Youtube or UStream at some point in time, but now it finally HAS an official video. Ever since I'd heard the original sometime on a summer day in 1994, I've always wanted to do My own version of this song, and now, 2 decades later, that idea has become a reality,
and that reality will come to fruition July 16, 2014.

In other news, I plan to do some live streaming shows this summer on sites such as UStream (of course) and Stageit between June 18th and September 24th, so for those of You who can't go to any physical concerts this year, You can sit back and chill with the Ulsh-Man. So, I'll see You on the "Virtual - Stage".

B.T.W. I got finally got to talk to Matrix Devonshire recently about any updates on the video. He's decided to put that on hold so He can work on the rest of His 2nd album.Hopefully soon You'll get to see Me - actin' a fool in not only one, but 2 videos this summer.

Little Website update

Friday, May 16, 2014 5:56PM:
You may've noticed some changes to the site.
The intro page that I had since last September is gone,
and the blog page has now become part of the home page,
like it should've been in the first place.
I'm thinking I might later change the theme at some point.
In other news I've got the video half finished.
The track itself is already taken care of,
as well as the album cover for the non-album single "All I Wanna Do".
Who knows I might come up with a theme based on that,
until then we'll see, but for now I've got 1/2 a video to film.

All I Wanna Do Update

Wednesday, May 7, 2014, 10:14 AM:
You might remember a few months back I mentioned something about a certain cover song I'd be doing later on. Well I'll be filming it this month, but First, I've got to hit the studio again and lay down the vocal track for it. Not to mention working on the CGI parts for the video. This is a song (and video) I've been wanting to for a long time now, ever since I'd heard it on the radio nearly 2 decades ago, so I'm personally gonna "have some fun" doing this. In other news I've already had My birthday. Pics on both My facebook and twitter pages respectively.Although we might upload them here, in the gallery, as well. So You might also be wondering "Hey... that Matrix Devonshire fella had a video coming out this month. What's happening with that?" I don't know either. Don't hate, Innovate - Bill Ulsh
