Mutant Melvin: Outtakes, Concept Art, Alternate and Deleted scenes
Mutant Melvin (2012)
These were Deleted because one picture was really all I needed
I originally wanted to do the entire bridge/outro to "Steppin' in the Way", but I decided that the reader doesn't need 5 copies of the same picture just with different words
The animation just didn't fit. This scene looks like it takes place at 7:30 p.m., while the rest of the scene takes place at 5:30
This scene was better summed up in 4 words - "You're going downtown, Bucko!" - says all it needs to say

Too much dialog, plus most of it was already in the text and would've taken away from the artwork.
This was shortened down to just the last part because I felt it made the scene more iconic that way
I'll give You 3 guesses what thrash metal album cover I'm trying to rip off here

Melvin's place was originally gonna have scaffolding, but I decided to leave it out because it was harder to animate

"The SludgePit" was not only gonna be round but also have stairs in the back. I realized how illogical that would be.
Too much reveal. I decided to keep His mutation a mystery and include the part about a cover up FOR MORE DRAMATIC EFFECT

I originally gonna have a whole entire thing with "King Jeffy", but I wanted to get to the point, already
